Hi everyone,

I'm starting a new gaming CPU without spending tons of money so that I can play single monitor not on ridiculous resolutions... I added a few parts that I find interesting but some I don't have a lot of experience on.

Here is the link for what I have so far and I would really appreciate your suggestions, thank you!

For that budget you can go high end with either AMD or Intel. Each has their pros and cons.

An FX 8350 + a 990FX motherboard will support 2 PCIe video cards @ x16 and have a lot of features for around $350 for both parts. For gaming, this will be a very good setup and save you some money. This is what many reviewers are recommending for a 1-2 video card setup for up to 1440p resolutions.

If you plan to go 3-way crossfire or SLI, an i7 4770k Haswell will scale a bit better once you add that 3rd card. But that CPU alone will cost you $340 or so.

So basically, you have 2 choices: Stick with your original plan and save some money, or spend your full budget and indulge a little. Up to you.

Your parts are okay but I'd suggest a z77 board and a cpu cooler if you want to overclock, or get the non 'k' 3570 to save some cash as there's no point spending more for a k series chip when the board you are plugging it into won't let you overclock it.

Also helpful would be your gaming resolution and what peripherals you have. There was no case in the list.
