Solution

No, regular 650 are slow and not that good for gaming. The 7770 performs way better than the 650. I think even the 7750 performs better.

However, the 650-Ti is a whole different story and performs closely to the 7770 (but costs more than regular 650 of course).

And the 650-Ti "Boost" performs better than the 7770 (but is even more expensive of course).

They recently dropped the price of the 7790 so it's a good option too.

Yaa asus nvidia gtx650ti 2gb ddr5 cost Rs.14000 in India
asus NVIDIA gtx 650 2gb ddr5 cost Rs.9800
sapphire ati radeon hd7770 1gb ddr5 Rs.8500
does extra 1gb vram make diff in gaming or hd7770 1gb is still better than asus NVIDIA gtx650 2gb

2 GB becomes important only if you play higher resolutions. What resolution will you be using?

I would stay away from the regular 650 because it's not powerful enough, so even if it has more memory the processor on it is too slow. If you want nvidia, the minimum I would recommend is the "650-Ti" (big difference between the "Ti" model and regular one).

Maybe you can also find 7770 or 7790 with 2 GB if you play at 1080p or higher.

If what jinayhvora says it's true and you can find a 650-Ti "Boost" for only 10k then I would go for that. ;)
