well my p.c need to be upgraded i'm slowly working on it i want to keep my mother board and i'm stumped i have an AMD Athlon...it sucks for gaming and i need to know what size i need because i don't want to buy something that does not fit

AMD Athlon doesn't mean anything, this name has been used for more than 10 years by AMD, there are so many different Athlon models. You would need to provide exact model and also what motherboard you currently have for us to tell you if it's worth upgrading or not.

What model athlon and what motherboard do you have? The Athlon name has been around for a long time. lol
