The budget for my entire computer (excluding peripherals) will be $1500. I will be playing Minecraft, The Sims 3, Just cause 2, and Worms revolution. I will also be playing them on ultra graphics, and I will be playing other GPU intensive titles off of steam. What AMD or Nvidia graphics card should i buy?

More about : gpu budget amd nvidia

None of those games should be a particular problem for a modern discrete GPU.
How much are you willing to spend on your GPU?

Even something like a Radeon 7750 should run those games.

I would want something far more than a 7750.
I will probably be playing more intensive games than just this and I can play around with the budget, so I would probably pay like $350 or so. I also don't know much about GPU measurements, but I was opting for a 7900 series Radeon card. Money is not that big of an issue but my entire rig budget is $1500. (And I don't know much about how much the card's price would be in relation to the entire rig.)

In that budget range and if you plan to play newer GPU intensive games. I'd get a Sapphire HD 7970 OC w/ Boost http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009B6Y01Y/ref=as_li_q... It fits in your budget and can OC quite nicely to be one of the top performing cards out there. Especially for the price.

Thank you very much, this helped me out majorly!
