What is a better cpu for video editing?

Solution
i would go with the intel build solely on the the hyperthreading that is in the i7 and will allow your video processing to run much faster than the amd. I would also take a look at the ivy vs haswell with haswell being 10% better performance, less overclockable and slightly more expensive than the ivy bridge which can perform just as well with these tasks. I would recommend the i7 4770 the reason being even though it isnt overclockable the 4770k lacks the TSX feature that speeds up synchronization between threads, and this functionality can be part of a library, a framework, or even the OS so software can benefit without needing adjustment.

For rendering I would go with AMD (specifically FX-8350). As 8 Core Unclocked performance. (Easily overclockable). Also way cheaper than core i7.

I Also Do Editing

Go For intel

AMD Gives you Better multi-tasking
But Am Sure
No one Minimises a Hard core Game and does video editing

For Better Rendering
and Plugin Programming
Go For Intel...

Dont go for 8 cores and 6 cores...
galaxy s4 also has 8 cores but its too slow than snapdragon 800 with 4 cores.....
hope you got it
