Hey guys,

I am about to buy a custom built pc and was wondering if my case has enough fans to keep all the components at the right temperature. At the moment it has 2 fans.

The specs are as follows:

Intel i5 3470
ASUS P8Z77-V LX
4GB KINGSTON RAM
1GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 650
1TB HD
450W Power Supply

Thanks,

Best solution would be 2x120mm intake and 1x120mm exhaust. If your two fans are both 120mm, make the front intake and the rear exhaust. Make sure you keep wiring, drives, etc. cleanly installed to help with airflow.

Not knowing the case, I would say an intake in front and an exhaust at the rear should be fine. Both the processor and card are low heat producers if not overclocked.

^ Not knowing the case...it could vary greatly. Check out some thermal videos on appropriate air flow for a case similar to yours. I personally like 2 front 120's for intake, 2 top 120s/140s for exhaust. I use the back 120 for a CPU radiator/fan.

Ok well it is the COOLERMASTER ELITE 311 BLUE CASE and it has a front 120mm and a rear 120mm. Also by intake and exhaust do you mean front and rear? Bit of a newbie aha

That case will be fine for a single front and rear fan. The processor is only a 77W CPU and the card is only 64W. The MB is less than that. And that is at max. Not much in the system to generate heat. You won't have a bit of problem unless you get a huge card or O/C stuff. Even then, I wouldn't worry.

Intake pulls air in from the outside. Exhaust pushes case air out. Same fan, just mounted backwards for exhaust.

That's a pretty small case - you will want decent airflow to prevent any heat buildup. Make sure you use at least 120mm fans front and rear. You can also mount another 120 on the window side - just be careful it does not interfere with your gpu. You can get thin style fans for this use.
