To force the Activation Wizard to cut in and offer you the choices that include phoning Microsoft, you need to change the Registry. Go from Start to Run and into the Open box, type regedit then press Enter. From the File menu, choose Export then note the name and location of the backup you're about to make - it may be necessary later.

Then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
Version\WPAEvents and in the right hand pane, make a simple change by deleting one of the blocks of two characters. Leave the Registry form the file menu then bring up the Open box again and type %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe /a then press Enter.
