Hey guys,

Just this morning my old desktop went out, so i have spent the day scouting out components for a new one. I was wondering if you guys could help me maximize the bang for my buck on this build, made for video watching and light gaming such as minecraft, spelunky, etc. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1mKi1

If possible, i really need to keep this around the $350 mark. I am operating off of money from parents, so i need to not break the bank for them.

You never combine an APU and a dedicated GPU.

Thanks for the reply!

As for the apu, would this one you added in preform similarly to the 7770? I would like this to be able to play most low end and medium games at an acceptable framerate on low or medium settings if thats even possible with this amount of money.

Im already salvaging the optical drive.

As for others, the only other components i have that i could get/are worth getting are the case and the ram, though for the case, it is an awkward curvy shape that is dirty and has holes in the plastic, and while the ram is still good it is DDR2 and when i looked around i couldn't find a single motherboard worth my money (based on stuff i read on other tech sites) that accepted DDR2 ram...

Definitely agree. I was making the point that you shouldn't ever create a build that way, but adding a GPU later is always alright.
