I plan on getting the new i5 4670k but I'm not sure on which motherboard to get I won't do much overclocking so I need something that's nice and runs well, I might do overclocking later on in the future. Is the stock heat sync enough for this cpu?

I was thinking about that but then I read the reviews and people didn't look too happy, any thoughts on it? Sorry I'm new to this kind of stuff

I tend to lean more towards professional reviews more than personal ones, you can never tell someones experience level and what other parts they were using.

Just make sure you also get a good power supply, a poor quality power supply can ruin the whole thing.

You have a point, I'm going to go with your suggestion and get that board it's really nice for the price, as for the power supply I plan on going with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151088 a seasonic 650w modular gold. Hopefully everything goes well, quick question I'm going with the Gigabyte windforce gtx 760, any thoughts? Or would you prefer AMD over it?

No, stick with the 760. One of the best cards for it's price right now. The thing I read about the G45 is that it isn't too much cheaper than the G65, but gives up a lot of options. So either the G45 is overpriced, or the G65 is underpriced.

177.99 at NCIX. But I don't know if it's worth it to you. Other than that I'd pick up the AsRock extreme 6. Read the review on it on Tom's. It got a recommended award and was priced more expensive than it is now.

"Update (6/4): ASRock's Z87 Extreme6 Drops Again!

ASRock’s preemptive strike against pricing incredulity is to apply yet another $20 discount on top of the already-discounted price discussed above. That drops its Z87 Extreme6 to $170. Although I had to reserve any award for a $190 Z87 Extreme6 that might have shot back up to $220, a $170 price that might shoot back up to $190 makes me a lot more confident about the Z87 Extreme6’s high value."
