So I live with my family going to school and we have 3 laptops and my desktop. Now none of the laptops will ping spike or disconnect, but if my desktop turns off it will not connect to the internet anymore, it will ping spike into the thousands about every other 15 seconds, it will disconnect when it feels like and not reconnect. It is ONLY on the desktop where this happens. No one else's laptop, only the desktop.

Do you think it's a hardware problem, router problem, or ISP problem. Should I call At&t or any other options?

Don't waste your time with AT&T unless they provide the modem AND router -- it's a problem on your network that can be at the router or desktop. Is the desktop also wireless? Does your router's DHCP service have enough assignable addresses for all of your devices?

Disable the wireless on the router and try again. If you are still having latency issues, try again with a different computer (do not use wireless for this). Assuming your desktop is wired and all other laptops are wireless, Try using one of the laptops to connect directly to the router using an ethernet cable. If the laptop still lags, then your router might be the issue.

Depending on your network setup, try disconnecting your router and plug your desktop directly into the modem. Test the speed. If you feel your problem has been fixed, then the main issue is your router. If you still experience lag, it could be an issue on your ISP's end.
