Star Wars Battlefront 2 - sluggish

Hi. I start playing SWBF2 on my PC. When I start my session, everything works fine. I can play multiplayer for a longtime fine. However, when I end my session and try to start a new one, the game menu screen and and loading rapidly becomes sluggish. I have to actually hit ctr/alt/del to get out of the game and then start over. I am using Vista 32 with an AMD5600x2.

Any ideas what causes this?

Hmm, I play SWBF2 all the times, and I have never had this problem. This is most likely a bug that can be fixed by reinstalling the game. If that doesn't work, your graphics card may be overheating - this could definitely cause sluggish performance. Try running SWB2 windowed so you can view your GPU temperature at the same time (download GPU-Z to see temperatures). If your GPU temps are reaching beyond 80C, that is probably your problem.

Think it might be a software issue. Im using a 430gt, which isnt so strong, but the game play runs smoothly. You can pay for hours without a problem. However, skipping between online rooms automatically causes a problem. Everything slows down upon entering the menu screen as soon as you stop one action and start another, whether you were playing the game for hours and then change rooms, or whether you have been playing for two minutes and then change rooms. Will check my video card temps though.
Question :
I bought the game through STEAM. Can I reinstall the game without paying for it again?

Try doing a clean install on the drivers. Games can be redownloaded as much as you want, just have been be on the account that made the purchase. To delete a game go you your library, right click, delete local content.
