I'm running an IPS 27" monitor through a DisplayPort connection. Previously, I was running an ATI 4800 and upgraded just today to an XFX R7770.

Unfortunately, while I had no problem with the monitor before, I'm getting flickering of the very top line of pixels of the display. It almost seems like it's information content of some sort, as it seems to just be black and white pixels. However, it also only seems to be active when light objects are placed at the bottom of the screen.

Running Windows 7, 550W PSU, and it's usually run in a multimonitor setup, however I removed the other displays and card and still have a problem. I had downloaded the latest Catalyst after putting in the new card. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help; it's extremely distracting.

Solution
Try a Dual Link DVI cable. Use the DVI port instead of Display port. HDMI/Display port cant work properly with a resolution past 1080i/p.

Hrm. I'll definitely give it a try, though I thought Display Port was good at 60Hz up to maybe 3000 horizontal. What's surprising is that it worked perfectly for months with my old card.

Worked great, thanks. For recordkeeping, it was an Auria EQ277W.
