i hear people saying that hd 7950 and hd 7970 dont have much difference..
is that really true
i bought recently sapphire hd 7950 boost 3gb and wanted to know

(a) that is it really powerful like 7970 or some way behind it

(b) my sapphire trixx utility tool says that gpu clock is 925 and memory clock 1250 but the box says gpu clock 850 with PowerTune Dynamic Boost rises to 925 MHz on the engine.

(c) is my card better than SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 OC with Boost VAPOR-X

my card

It seems like the "SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 OC with Boost VAPOR-X" is just slightly overclocked and slightly larger (better cooling i would assume). Most likely a 2-7 increase in FPS at the very best.
There are difference between the cards yes best bet would be to google 7950 vs 7970 if you really what to know what they all are. They are both really good cards as it stands now the 7970 is the best single GPU AMD/ATI has out right now and thus the 7950 is just a step down from that. Both card can hand just about any game out there 1080p ultra/max settings with very little problems. But as I said do a google search and you can find all you need to know.
