Pfft, no.
That set-up is a good low cost set-up for gaming on a budget.

Once you're using a Core i# system, even with two cores and SLI you're already in good territory.

Is it an unusual combination? - Yes
Is it a bad combination - Not by any means, it depends on the games.

dual cores are dead for gaming, even 3 years ago they were dead

for the amount you spent on the cards and supporting motherboard at least get an i5

thing is im buying from my friend whos father is the owner of a distributon company so i get the cards alot cheaper xD
But they dont have intel only AMD unless i get fx 8350... but im kinda of an anti amd guy xD

what motherboard are you going to use? does it support sli? ist it x16 x8/x8 x8? is it a pci-e 3.0?

split the difference between the cpu cost and gpu cost. get an i5 ivy bridge and a 7950 or gtx760, you will have a more balanced system.
