Hi!

So I have noticed there are thoes blower GPUs that look like this

And the other ones that dont look really appealing but cool better and dont make that much noise.

But what are the other pros and cons of thoes 2 solutions?

The blowers are for cases with small air flow , and for cases with less fans ... they prevent the heat from escaping into the case and blow it out of the case ... so the case does not become hot...

in Tight spaces and less airflow blowers are better .

in good airflow the open coolers are better because the case fans quickly will take the hot air out of the case , so there is no problem and the card is cooled better using larger fans and more than one.

But what about the durability of the blower ones? As they use only one fan, all the work must be done by that one fan that other cards let the 3 fans do. Also the bigger heat and such. Do they last ?

:)  dont worry , they come with Warranty dont they ?

Actually the blowers fail less , because there is always air to blow out ...

if the open one for example are put in bad case with no fans they will heat up everything in the case including the air they use for cooling the card ...

thats why the reference cards are always blowers ... there will be allways cold air in the case to take and cool the card and blow the heat out.

The draw back is the noise .. they are noisy

But how noisy exactly? Will I hear it even through my headphones?

if you are playing you will not hear anything but the game lol .. but the others around you will hear the noise especially if you are using head phones ..

if you want to Get the card , it is better to get an open one with good case and good airflow in the case .. it will be almost silent if you choose the right card ... and will run cooler also ... MSI twinFozer are the most silent ..

if you are going to SLI ... it is a differet story , some times blowers are better in SLI , or a Mix one blower and one open .
