Powerine PA-411 kit gives only 11mbps on PC, connected to BT Homehub 3 with BT Infinity Fibre (75mbps)

As the title says, I have a BT Homehub 3 with BT infinity, which is meant to give me speeds of up to 75mbps. I recently switched from Wifi to powerline, expecting a great increase in performance, but while Wifi gave me 45-60 mpbs, the powerline adapter gives me only up to 13 mpbs, with the rate on the Powerline Utility being 11mpbs.

I live in a 30 year old house and my PC is upstairs, with the Hub downstairs. Any possible suggestions as to why the speed is so low and how to overcome this?

Powerline is IMO a tech of last resort. Especially over long distances, when it's going to have to go through a couple of breakers and possibly RCDs.

Go back to WiFi.
