im not sure if this is the category (or right place to ask) but i got a modular psu for my pc and one of the cable had a damaged sata connector (the very end one) . i need to find a way to fix the connector on as the normal clips where damaged would it be safe to use electrical tape as a way to make sure the cables dont move? or should i just get rid of the cable?

cut out the damaged connector. and use a new one from old PSU or something. You can use electrical tape to cover the wire joints. Would be good.
Or if you dont want to replace it. Just cut it and cover the wires with the electrical tape.

If you feel there is any chance what so ever of a short do not take the chance. Personally since it is modular I would contact the manufacture and see if that cable can be replaced for a low price.
