Will a 400W power supply run this build

I'm trying to shave every last penny off this build and still get maximum performance for my needs. This has gone from a dual-purpose gaming/work machine to a pure work system. I'll be running virtual machines, a web server, database server and geospatial server as well as developing on it.

I had specced out a 750w XFX power supply so I can add hard drives and a beefy graphics card later on. However, I've got a brand new Antec Earthwatts 400w power supply that I bought for an abandoned media server project.

Will 400W be enough to run this build? When I do add a graphics card (probably a GTX 770) I'll upgrade my PS as well.

Without a GPU, yes it will be no issue at all. When you add a GPU you will need to upgrade he PSU.

Antec is a great PSU brand and will run that setup with no GPU no problems.

Don't listen to that guy above who clearly hasn't got his facts straight.

Oh God no, you are just asking for trouble. Even a cheap 550 Ti cannot use a 400W power supply, let alone a 4770K setup. Please, never go second rate on Power Supplies because you can have the best setups but with a cruddy PS, it will all go in smoke. This is from personal experience and years of building Desktops.

Both of these will run a setup with the GTX770 , THE 620w is modular. The 750w would give you extra headroom power

That's correct, I'll be using the 4770 integrated graphics until I get a graphics card. I'll upgrade the power supply when I do get a graphics card.

Thanks to you and tiny voices for the re-assurance and quick replies.
