Most of the time it happens when I'm downloading anything or just using a lot of bandwidth.

Streaming videos, torrents, direct download, etc.


I have a Motorola SURFboard SB6121 Modem.

I have a D-link DIR-655 wireless router and a D-Link DGS 2208 Desktop Switch.

A TV, Blu-ray player, some Vonage thing, and two computers are hooked into them. I'm wireless.

Protip: Don't download anything, at least not at the same time as your browsing.

This often occurs when there isn't enough bandwidth to process both your active downloads and any surf requests. Try not to do so much at once, or leave your downloads on at night so you don't affect your streams when your surfing the web.
