Make sure your PSU is plugged in and switched on, all power connecters are secure from the PSU to the motherboard, and make sure your motherboard stand-offs are in the correct location so as to not cause a short of any kind.

Do you have a motherboard that has any indicator lights that correspond with an entry in the manual? Try using one stick of RAM and if your system has onboard video try that with the video card removed from the system.

Maybe the processor you just dropped in is not compatible.
Check your bios version and your motherboard's manufacturer's website to see if its good and well. (judging by your mobo's name, i guess its an Asus one)
