pretty much the only difference is the socket type lets say in for years the lga1155 socket will be gone like me i bought the ivy bridge and the asrock z77extreme 4 but in around 4 years the lga 1150 socket will take the market so when your processor starts dieing out do you want to have to buy a new mobo ?
Pretty much. There's about a 10-15% performance increase(if that). But it runs hotter and doesn't overclock quite easily.
I bought the 4670k but really the only reason was because I got a pretty good deal on it and because...it's newer
Motherboards last quite a while, it's the capacitors that may wear out eventually but it takes a a while for that to happen
Where did you get the good deal
Microcenter, costed my 200 for it, and got a suprise 30 bucks off my mobo(price tag 160 - receipt 130
) but I had to go to the store and pick it up. They actually had the deal for the 3570k's but they had sold out by the time I placed my in-store pickup order.
