Hello there,
Been a long term viewer of these forums, but made an account as I could really do with some help!
So, long story short, I want to swap from console to PC gaming, but want a SFF PC; as they seem to be pretty much equal to ATX desktops nowadays, and the SFF idea appeals to me, i suppose gaming on a console has had its effects on me!
Anyway, I cannot for the life of me find a SFF case - mATX preferably - that supports SLI. The plan is to buy a (msi) 760, and then go SLI in a couple of years if need be.
Any suggestions people? Is this even a possibility? Thanks in advance!:)

FYI, this was the size of case i was looking for:

A single good card will perform well so long as you will be using a single monitor, even 2560 x 1600.
If you think you will be gaming on triple monitors in the future, or even a 4k monitor then a dual card solution might be necessary. But... I think that by the time 4k is economical, there will be adequately strong single cards available.

IN addition to stuttering issues of dual cards, you need to have a psu that is 200w stronger and a sli capable motherboard.
That adds to your up front costs for a feature which you may never utilize.

the first one definitely wont work for you, it is mini itx, and does not support sli. the second one might. there are quite a few mATX cases that will support sli, but the main thing is to make sure you get a mobo that will handle it, and plenty of fans to cool it

Sorry if I wasn't clear, the two linked cases weren't necessarily options, just a visual of what size I was interested in. As for mobo, have one which seems to be suitable, but cooling seems to be my other main headache in this build; can't be dealing with buying & building it to watch it overheat!! :D

Will have a look at it now. :)

I am using the Silverstone TJ08E:

I have a M-ATX motherboard, GTX780, 4670K with a noctua NH-D14 cooler.
It is quiet and runs cool. Most similar sized cases have restrictions on cooler height.
The lian li , for instance, has a 125mm max cooler height.

M-ATX sli is possible, but you must be prepared to accept cooling issues with two cards necessarily next to each other.

Yeah, i'm thinking a single card config. would be easier, wondering whether SLI is worth the hassle. :sarcastic:
