1080p Gaming 760 vs 770

I'm pretty set on picking up a 770 but considering that although I have 3 screen, I only use one. I have no interest in surround so would it be wiser to pick myself up a 760 or even a 7950 as I am using this machine 80% of the time for Illustrator etc?

TL;DR GTX 770 overkill for occasional 1080p gaming?

All help appreciated!

For gaming I would go for 760 out of those, in fact I had exactly this decision to make, I went with the 760 and unless you have a monitor over 60hz you're not going to see a difference, but for professional work, such as photo editing or video editing, I would go with the 7950, slightly worse gaming performance but much better value for money if you're doing video or photo editing.

A 670 is In between both of these cards in terms of price and performance. I'd get a 670 or 770 for gaming and Illustrator. I would go with the 770, Nothing is worse than wishing you had bought more powerful hardware a few months down the road.

the 7950 is the same performance as a 760 but you get an extra gig of onboard ram for future games
