So I've had this desktop for about 5-6 years now, and just starting today this weird thing has been happening that I assume is related to graphics and display. I can't exactly explain what it is, but I took a picture of it.

This occurs whenever I attempt to play any of my games. It generally happens after the game loads to the main menu, but it will sometimes happen shortly before or shortly after.

I'm not computer person, nor have I been able to find this issue anywhere else, so I've refrained from messing with anything.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
ASUS P5N-D
Corsair 2x4GB RAM DDR2
Nvidia GeForce 280 GTX
Corsair Professional Series HX750W

Yes, that's definitely a display issue. Does your motherboard have on-board graphics? if it does plug a display cable in the motherboard. if it works fine, its your gpu for sure.
