Is my CPU bottle necking my GPU

I am having a hard time running Shogun 2. It keeps crashing during land battles.

System Specs
GPU:Nvidia geforce gtx 650 ti boost 2gb
CPU: Intel Core i5 2320
Ram: 8gb DDR3
PSU: Corsair 500W
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Have you downloaded all the latest patches for Shogun 2? Have you run Shogun 2 in COMPATIBILITY mode (I would suggest XP SP3 it should be set to)? Did you set it to run as Administrator account? Lastly, have you updated to the newest drivers from NVIDIA (they just released the newest recently).

Unless its an install issue and its crashing due to that I'd say your overall system is not good for Shogun at high settings anyway.
Have you tried it on low settings and see if it still crashes?

Shogun 2 is a very demanding game.
