There are a bunch of computers hooked up to a network. There is a single network harddrive, an Iomega Storcenter ix2. It is a 500GB drive. On this disk there is about 400GB left of free space. When I try to save a file, like a 0.001KB notepad file, it says that the memory is full. I need help.

Solution
Most likely when it says that memory is full it's not referring to the actual hard drive, but the memory of the NAS appliance. The specifications state it only has 256 MB cache onboard, which means that it's going to fill up pretty quickly running continuously, with temp files or other requests being processed simultaneously. Try and reboot the device, and if possible keep all other computers except one from having access to the NAS until you can test transferring and receiving data after that reboot has completed.
