Hello
I am looking for advice on cheaper but still good parts for a build (gaming build mostly) I’m experimenting with writing up. My ideal budget was $1000, but I bumped it up to an $1100 MAX because I wanted certain other things. My current price is about 1099 after PSU and GPU rebates, but I am looking to drop it a bit more. I would also prefer to get things from Microcenter or Amazon.
I am willing to look for cheaper alternatives for

the case:
Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl)
The optical drive (although I’d rather not, its already $20 and I want to use it for a lot of my games that are still discs):
Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS
The PSU (at least 750W) (although I don’t want to skimp on it as I want it to last for a while):

For those that wish to see the full build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/mc962/saved/25iX
All the other parts I would prefer to keep in the build unless you can suggest some amazing alternative. The motherboard in particular I want to keep as it’s the one im experimenting with trying to fit in and keep to budget.
I would love to drop at least $30-$40 dollars off the build, preferably with the parts listed above. I was thinking the case would probably be the best place to start chopping; while I think I would fall in love with the Fractal R4 when I would get it, I wouldn’t mind a cheaper comparable case with good airflow/quality

**Note: Because of rebates/combos and stuff not all pcpartpicker prices are quite accurate. Try using amazon/microcenter prices instead. However, I will be considering all rebates and deals from those 2 places that continue past 8/11
