Sorry for the long post, and any help is appreciated! Thanks! :D

i built my pc 3 to 4 days ago and i had a feeling i didn't fit the stock intel cooler properly because the instructions on the paper were not clear, but i just continued. and i tried playing bf3 multiplayer and it went up max 80+, close to 90 degree celcius. this is my first build, so i didn't know what to expect. then i carry on trying far cry 3 campaign, and within the first 20 seconds of gameplay it goes up to 100 degrees celcius and it crashed, with a blue screen and i was damn worried. im thinking if the cpu was faulty and wanted to return it, but i tried my luck and re-install the intel fan. i had this weird thinking that the intel sticker has to be facing correctly(it wasnt originally, though i believe you can install any way u want), and afterwards i tried bf3 multiplayer again and it maxed out at 75 degrees and averages around 60+. and in fry cry 3 campaign, it maxed out at 77 degrees averages 60+ too. the weather here is very hot and humid, temperature is at around 33 to 35 degrees in the afternoon. and my room is even worse, i dont open the windows, it's messy. i dont clean my room very often. if i dont turn on the fan, i'll be sweating in 10 seconds. anyway, with that said,

everything stock and no overclocking.

1)Is the CPU still okay after it crashed once when it reaches 100 degrees and blue screen crash screen? (A little paranoid, since it's my first pc build)

2)Considering that i removed the intel stock cooler and rotate it 90 degrees, and the thermal paste was already in a smudgey-like state, and i install it back, and the weather and room conditions, is the temperature normal for a stock intel fan cooler when it maxed at 70+(close to 80) degrees celcius when playing bf3 multiplayer of far cry 3 campaign?

Sorry i don't know how to use any cpu stress test softwares, so i just use games as reference.

This is my system
-Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H
-i5-4670k
-Galaxy GTX 760 GC 2GB
-Corsair HX750 PSU
-Corsair Vengeance Low Profile RAM 2x4GB
-Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 Case with stock case fans
-ASUS dvd writer

i wonder how much degrees difference will there be if i change to an after market cooler? i want my cpu to max out at 60 degrees while playing games. and i think my GPU also runs kinda hot, im not sure. while i was playing DmC Devil May Cry, the GPU averages around 70 and maxed at 76 degrees celcius. i think it's still acceptable but i wanna bring the temperature of the GPU down too. i realised the stock case fans kinda sucks! Also, i want a air cooler for the CPU, no watercooling. With that said, i have a few more questions,

1)What temperature is good for the GPU?

2)What 120mm or 140mm case fans to get for the arc midi r2? it has 2 front, 1 bottom, 2 top, 1 rear. I do not care for the noise, im only concern about the air flow. im currently looking at 6 x 120mm delta fans, but if the sound is so loud to a point where i cant hear the speakers(my pc is on the table beside me), then i'll get 6 x 140mm BitFenix Spectre Pro PWM(Black) with the advertised 122.2 CFM each. Please recommend me if there's a better solution! especially for the arc midi r2 case.

3)What CPU Cooler should i get? im looking at the Phanteks PH-TC14PE (Orange). A plus point is that it's orange, because im going for a orange leds for the case later. but no need to be orange, any air cpu cooler excluding noctua will do.

4)Is the fan slot at the bottom of the case important? does it contribute much air flow if a fan is placed there? because if i install one there, i have to redo some cable management, which is quite troublesome, but i'll still do it.

5)My case has a fan controller thingy at 5V, 7V, 12V connecting to maximum 3 fans. honestly, all i know is that it controls speed and airflow. when i was building my pc i was just seeing what fits what(originally i plugged it to the motherboard). i read that building a pc was like adult version of lego, so i just treating it like lego and with some logic. :D like i said, this is my first build. Anyway, if i were to get six case fans, and the cpu cooler(for example Phanteks PH-TC14PE), which has 2 fans, how am i going to plug all those? im a noob at the whole fan connecting thing. and do i need a fan controller like the NZXT sentry?

6)While building, i forgot to put the IO shield! is that important?

7)Lastly, my PSU buzzes! I read alot about it and it seems to be normal? it is not so frequent, it's just there will be a moment, where it sudden buzzes for as little as 5 seconds to as long as a few minutes. and if i were to average the times it happens, it will be once every 2 hour? not too sure, because sometimes it's not noticeable and im playing music.

I do not have any budget! i want the best air cooling + case fan solution without any concern for the noise!

Sorry for the long post, i don't know how to simplify it, and i dont want to leave anything out. Thanks for helping! :D

Solution
You need to reseat your cpu cooler asap. Gaming with your cpu shouldn't go higher than 40C-60C depending on ambient temps. Reaching 80C-90C means there's a problem. Also, the cpu shut down because it was too hot. It probably isn't damaged but if you don't fix your cpu cooler it could lead to possible damage.

yea, im gonna get a good air cooler and case fans for good air flow. i also will be using the mx-4 thermal compound. i know 80-90 degrees is hot, but now it averages about 60+ degree while gaming, also considering that i remove the stock cooler and place it back without reapplying the thermal paste, is 60+ degrees acceptable in such a situation? I dont have any thermal compound and will be ordering today, along with my cpu cooler and case fans. i would like to know if i use a aftermarket cooler+ high air flow case fans and apply the thermal paste correctly this time, will i be able to achieve the 40-60 degrees celcius while gaming like you mention? Thanks! and any recommendations is appreciated! :D

yea im using the stock cooler, i dont have any thermal paste now, so i have to place the cooler back in. i didnt fit it in properly in the first place, and temps were hitting 100 degrees and it crashed. although i placed it back properly, the temps is about 60+ degrees while gaming and the thermal paste was not reapplied. i dont have any thermal paste now, but will get it today, but im also looking for a good cpu cooler and case fans. my case is the fractal design arc midi R2.
