I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P when I first power it up after a time powered off it hangs on the POST screen for about 10 minutes before booting into Windows.

If I hit the restart button then it boots up fine. It's also fine if I've been using the computer and restart it.

Any help appreciated

Solution
I've come accros this problem before and it turned out to be that the computer, when cold booting, was loading a specific BIOS preset (in this case an overclocked one) and because it was having to change settings it would take a while, or even restart its self.

Upon restart it would boot normally and if the PC had been used recently, it would boot up normally too.

Have you been into your BIOS? Id have a look and see if you have any other loadable presents in there.

Id also check your boot drive set up and make sure the HDD with your OS on it is first in the list; it could be that when you boot its looking for a different thing first (such as your CD drive).
