can i delete This PNP mointor

Solution
Ok, look you are using a laptop and it has only one monitor, that is your display screen, and is called a PNP(Plug N Play) monitor. So there is no way to delete that thing. And if you somehow delete that thing, what will happen, you will see no display. So how would you work on your laptop.

I think you got confused when looking on "Devices and Printers" that one is LindaPC and one is PNP monitor. Those two things are the same. One is your laptop that called LindaPC, and the display(monitor) is PNP monitor.

Now you don't have to do anything, just format and clean install the OS. Then firstly download the latest driver for display and install it, then install other necessary drivers(preferably latest). All will be fine.

About the VGA...

it wont let me load a few drivers , the VGA adapter keeps appearing, i un install it then it just loads again when i reboot it, my adapter should be Intel graphics media . ive been trying to get it fixed all day but looks like im going to have to re instal windows again, using the updates drivers from dell website rather than the disc ive got. I just want to use my own monitor and not that PNP thingy , if there was some way i could even disable that VGA driver then my own one would maybe load , i just dont know. i need to find the correct order to load drivers, must have got it wrong somewhere .

About the VGA adapter thing : This is the generic driver that windows supply for display automatically. Don't try to uninstall it. Just install the latest display driver from DELL for display over the generic driver. I am sure it will solve the problem. The scores for graphics will be higher also.

Is there anything I can help you with !!!!!!!

thats was kind of you to get back to me, what you say about the monitor and the driver makes sense now to me . I had posted a post on the dell website as its still under warranty, one guy posted link to Catalyst control centre which i downloaded from there then my AMD graphic driver went over it just like you say, rebooted then there was only one monitor called Linda's pc, so the guy said exactly same as you to install graphics adapter first and that worked. Its a shame Dell never had this adapter on my driver disc or ( not that i could see) the website for my model. I was following their advice installing Device system software first, I followed their order of installing drivers, however it got me into the mess that i posted above. Its running great now, print a bit small on the recommended resolution, see ::

i know i can make it bigger but as you know a 17 inch monitor should be 1280 x 1024 which it doesn't allow me to do, so dont know what the issue is there, not to worried about it as its running great now compared to the mess i was in , thanks so much for you help

Glad to hear that. And you can adjust the resolution manually by pulling the menu down, and set the desired resolution. But laptops resolution varies much with different brand and model and manufacturer. But what I can see in the pic that this is the recommended resolution for your screen. You can play with it until you are satisfied. Good luck.
