Currently I have a Gateway DX series DX4380G-UW308 and I am looking to upgrade everything I possibly can. For right now I can not build my own computer so I am just looking for upgrades for this computer. Here is the dell page for it http://goo.gl/2KYw1g

Current CPU-Z Report - http://goo.gl/Gc1Nj0
(My main website I filled my quota this month fml)

I did find this topic http://goo.gl/poyYFW but it gave me this video card http://goo.gl/lcBVs3 now I dont know if I have PCI Express v3.0 but I do know I have 1 x16 and 3 x1 but out of all of those I do not know what version.

I want to know if this ram will work http://goo.gl/RSbnPZ
and if there is anything better or cheeper

I'm looking to spend $100-$200 on the video card ,$50-$150 on ram, and I don't know if I'll be adding an extra hard drive yet so just wait on that.

Crucial system scan http://goo.gl/97jhoi gave me some ideas but doesnt include a gpu and I do not know if this ram is any good. Cosmetically all of these parts look cheep so it through me off a little.

I'm looking for the BEST preformance I can get with out having to upgrade powersupply. Anything that will be worth it for powersupply upgrade let me know.
Oh and I need this for video editing and gaming, because I do youtube and livestreams. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

LOL , first this is a gateway :) not DELL .

2- this is your machine : http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/DT.GE3AA.001

it has A6-5400K which is an FM2 AMD CPU , and you have AMD A75 Chipset.

your cpu is A6-5400K with Radeon HD 7540D

you can do the following :

1- Upgrade the CPU to

A10-6800K , 4 cores working at 4.1 Ghz 100WATTS and has internal Radeon HD 8670D

OR to save watts for the GPU ,

AMD A10-6700 , 4 cores , working at 3.7 GHZ , 65 WAtts and has internal Radeon HD 8670D

if you dont want to change the power supply get the 65 watts one ..

there is an offer with sim city free game with it at new egg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113332&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

2- There is a feature in this chip called Multi GPU , it cross fires the internal GPU with an external GPU for double performance , for this you will need HD 6770 GDDR5 , you can choose this card and crossfire it with the AMD cpu I told you about , but I need to know if your motherboard supprts this or not ..

3- for 300 watts power supply , and a 65watts CPU , you can pick up to GTX 650 ti (non Boost) which uses 110 watts , or AMD HD 7770 Ghz eddition which uses 80 watts. this is the max you can go using 300 watts Powersupply with 65 watts CPU.

thats why I recommended 65 watts 4 cores upgrade for you.

as for RAM , if you upgrade to the new AMD I showed you , it uses DDR3 2133 ..

tell me what you think.

Gateway bought dell. I forgot.
As far as I can tell I cant upgrade the APU to anything different. Is's a prebuilt computer and I don't have a motherboard with a socket.
So yeah the gpus you recommended are GTX 650 ti http://goo.gl/Nxpvqb and AMD HD 7770 http://goo.gl/nDMwhc both are great and I like them alot. My question is can I just hook them up to the psu and pci and it will work also which one will preform better? If we have to change anything I would like to stray away from intregrated anything and APUs. Also since I can't upgrade cpu is there any other recommended upgrades? Ram aswell... Thanks for the help btw.

get the GTX 650 ti , it is better and has a 70$ free game card with it :) , plus you can enjoy PhysX when you want .. as for performace they are close to each thers. the GTX 650 ti is little faster.

one more thing ,if you buy nvidia GTX 650 ti and later got another machine , you can use this card as a dedicated PhysX card as well ..

it is a win win choice , plus the 70$ worth games.

and it will work in your machine dont worry. it comes with needed adapters for power as well.

as for the RAM , your best way is to goto www.Crucial.com and select your machine and see the compatible ram , pick DDR3 1600 at least
