New build, GPU issues?

Helping a family member with their new build...and just got everything connected. Booted up, and no beep codes or anything...so far so good right?

Turn on the monitor, and there's no signal...fans are running on the HD 7870XT, have a VGA to DVI adapter plugged in, all connected properly...any ideas?

Through troubleshooting, I backtracked and determined the card was working fine...MB was DOA, so going to help them RMA it. Thanks all.

is your monitor on the correct input? try unplugging everything from the pc then reconnect and start it up again.

I feel your pain I had this exact issue.

You may not like the answer because its not so much a solution just what happened.

Did the same as you, no beeps everything perfect but no screen, I restarted my PC and TV twice and then it just came on??

Basically I think my TV wasn't syncing right with the new input and after a few reboots and switching back on the TV it just married up.

Worth a try as that's what I did, mine was 2-3 try's then been fine ever since.
