I'd like to get a good quality USB 3.0 hub so that when I need to hook up a device, I can plug it in without having to fish around the back of the case.

Right now, the back ports are used by my trackball and headphone receivers, mouse, keyboard, mini USB cable, and micro USB cable. The front 2 ports are for thumb drive and I keep one free for when I need to hook up my scanner.

Ultimately, I'd like to be able to have the hub on my desktop, then when I need to hook up a cable, I can do it as needed rather than have a rats nest of cables laying on top of the case.

Any suggestions on a good quality USB 3.0 hub, black, reliable? Thanks.

USB hubs are pretty much all the same as far as being "reliable" goes. It's the actual USB controller chip inside the computer itself that will determine whether or not the connection is reliable. Hubs are "dumb" devices in that they don't actually process information, they're just the pipeline that moves the info.
