Switching MOBO and Processor from AMD to Intel, HELP!

Long story short, windows is not booting and I have tried everything to fix it. I can't lose the data on my hard drive so I was thinking I could install a fresh windows onto a new hard drive and just plug in my old one afterwards. Would this work? Is there a better way?

yeah when you are switching from intel to amd (or vise versa) windows will not boot. it freaks out and restarts. and that would be the better thing to. after you install the new windows just move over all the data you want.
