Help with picking a good gpu?

Well, first of all, what are you planning on doing with that machine? What games? What resolution monitor?

Second, the computer comes with an HD 6770, I don't believe there is anyway to change that. You would have to get another card and swap it out.

Everyone has a different definition of "Break the bank" but if you read the article posted on Tom's titled "Best graphics cards for the money - July 2013" http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107.html That will give you a great picture of what is available at different price ranges.

I personally would suggest getting at least a HD 7750 or 7790, but again that depends on your bank's rules

You have a 600W PSU, which should handle any single GPU solution you pick, especially within a $250 budget.

Better, but not a ton. You are looking at somewhere in the 25-40fps for most relatively new games at 1080p

Ugh, after more research, for the price the HD7850 that you linked is about as good as you are going to get
