My Specs:
Mobo- Asus P8Z77 V-LX
Ram- 4gb G.SKILL ripjaws X (x2)
GPU- MSI GTX 670
PSU- Corsair 750TX
Processor- I5 3750k
HDD- Seagate 1tb black
Monitor- Asus ve228h (x2)

So the past week alot of my games have been causing an entire system restart. First the audio in-game starts looping then both monitors turn grey, and my computer shuts off and automatically restarts itself. None of my parts are overclocked, and I have a stock cpu cooler.

Though this only happens with games, I haven't crash doing basic things like watching movies. I can still run games aslong as there isn't too much happening, like I can play gmod and FTL just fine, but when I play bf3,sr3, or l4d2 they cause a hard reset.

I have had this build since last summer and got a second monitor about 5 months ago.

Solution
try a full driver clean using driver fusion and download latest drivers.

uninstall current display driver and do not restart.
run driver fusion nvidia driver cleaner.
install latest driver.

also download hwmonitor and check your temps and post them.

It sounds like you're having an overheating issue. You should install some software to monitor your temperatures to make sure you aren't going to damage anything.

Games would cause extra heat to your cpu and gpu that normal everyday tasks wouldn't.

I will start to monitor my temps but just so I have something to refer to, what would a normal temperature be for gaming, and everyday use?

I did what you said, I deleted my previous drivers without restarting, but when I tried to install the latest driver it failed and the resolution changed, and my second monitor isn't receiving anything. What should I do?

Okay so i have reinstalled my drivers, and I tested Saints Row The Third and I was able to get through a couple missions. But my gpu temps were really high, on average the temps were 78-80 c, and the highest they got were about 84 c.

Yup my case has two front intakes installed, and one rear exhaust. My case is a Corsair 500r, do you have any recommendations for keeping the temps low?

I got it last july so it's about a year old, but if the problem does persist I guess i'll just replace the card

Your system seems fine but out of curosity why would you use a stock cooler on a z77 series motherboard on a K processor. U better off getting a aftermarket cooler for that cpu.that processor meant for overclocking and the current cooler wont suffice.

I'm having the same exact issue with the MSI GTX 670, and everyone else who has this same issue has a gtx 670. So try a different card. Im only having the restarts with call of duty ghosts.
