Hey guys,

So I have a budget of $2000 and I'm having the hardest time right now picking out parts. I'd appreciate a bit of help here, I'd like to see some builds you guys come up with.

When are you purchasing the parts ? Most likely in the next few days.

What is your budget ? 1500-2000 USD (I can stretch to $2200 if needed)

What are your needs ? Gaming, video/photo editing, rendering, streaming.

Your location : USA, California

Your preferred sellers/websites : I'd like for it to be on PCPartPicker, preferably Amazon and Newegg, or whichever merchant you think is trustworthy.

Your part choices : I already have the case picked out, the NZXT Phantom 820 (Grey), feel free to try and persuade me. I'd love to have a semi-modular/modular PSU.

Do you plan to upgrade this PC ? Yes, not anytime soon though.

Do you need a OS or any other software ? Yes, I'm leaning towards Windows 8, I'm still not sure though. Again, feel free to give opinions.

Do you need any Monitor ? Yes, it'd be nice if you guys could fit a monitor in the budget.

Do you need any peripheral ? Again, it'd be nice if you could leave some room for a mouse, keyboard, and headset.

Any other notes : Well, I prefer Intel/Nvidia over AMD. I'm open to suggestions as well. I just ask you don't cheap out on any of the more important parts. I do plan to overclock as well. Plus I'd rather not go any lower than a GTX 780, unless it's SLI.

Thank you.

I present to you, the most reasonable build for that budget.

2 760´s actually outperform a single GTX Titan, so no issues with running that smoothly. All that is missing is the OS, since i cannot include that because that is entirely your choice. I recommend Windows 8 since it is better for gaming and such awesome applications.
And Finally the case, I have the Phantom 410, and it´s AMAZING, I swapped out the fans because they were a little too loud for me. But otherwise it´s a perfect case.

If it was me, I would start with the best display money can buy since its what your looking at the entire time. 2560 x 1600 30 incher. 2nd go with a single EVGA GTX780 ACX card to run it. Then some good DDR3 Gskill ram 1600 or better speed. 3rd a I7 4770k. That leaves you enough to get a descent headset, then get a second job to pay for the rest...lol. Seriously though go with the best display you can afford don't go with one of those lame 1080p displays they churn out. Go big or go home.

That´s am enormous sacrifice on the GPU, and unnecessary CPU power- A 4670K and a 212 Evo with a 780 is a better fit

ok, so dual gtx 760s are sacrificing gpu power, I would think that they perform better than the overpriced 780

No, they perform slightly better than a single 780, but you will need a much better PSU. Not to mention that upgrading could be a pain in the future.
