So I'm back in Canada after three weeks.
After I got back, I plugged in my modem and connected it to my new EA2700 router. I tested it, but it said no internet connection on my desktop and laptop. So I decided to reboot my modem. It worked and connected me to the internet.
I noticed my public IP changed, and I was wondering if that was related to the problem? Because for three weeks my modem was not connected to my ISP.
I checked my EA2700, there are no problems with it.
Motorola Surfboard SB5102 cable modem FYI all.
I'm not to surprised because I do have bad luck with modems, they always screw up on me and I always have to wait like two or three weeks to get my ISP to get me a new modem. Before I got this SB5102, a few SB5101 modems screwed up on me within 4 years. I'm hoping this does not need a new modem, because my ISP always does a no show to booked appointments to replace my modem.
Thanks a lot guys,
Harrison
