I recently purchased a laptop that came with windows 8. I'm not a fan and I planned on loading windows 7 onto it. I have windows 7 all set up on a usb to be booted off of but when I go into the boot menu the usb doesn't show up.Any ideas?

I booted off it when I built my own computer, that is how I put windows 7 on that computer.

I'm trying a few small things but if they don't work that will probably be my next option.

If you want to install a different operating system on your
PC, you need to change the BIOS settings first.
For more information, visit http://www.samsung.com and
go to Customer Support > Troubleshooting. Search for
Windows 8 and look through the list of search results for the
relevant issue

I have the same model Samsung ATIV 4 i5 intel

I have just done the follow tasks and this is the solution.
So first go into bios with F2 persistently pushed then in the advanced tab - Fast bios mode "disabled", reboot, go in the bios again in the boot tab you would be able to choose usb boot device option :)
