Solved Got a New Router, but computers that aren't connected via ethernet cable have lots of slow speeds. Tags: VIA Cable Routers Computers Wireless Network Ethernet Card Last response: August 2, 2013 5:31 PM in Wireless Networking Share Roger3320 August 2, 2013 5:23:09 PM I recently bought a new Router which is the WRT54GL. The main computers connected via Ethernet cable have no problem at all, but my Laptop experiences very high ping and low download speeds. I never had this problem with my old router. On my old Router I could easily play a game on my Laptop with about 50-70 MS, but now it's a constant 250-300 MS. Is there any way I can fix this? My ISP is Comcast. If it drops down to 50-70ms, chances are you will have to find a new place to put the router or get a better one.
