Approximate Purchase Date: Well I want to make sure I can build this before the end of September...

Budget Range: Maximum 1,700 give or take, preferably after shipping and tax (In Washington)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming is number 1, entertainment 2nd (watching movies, surfing the web). I have a laptop for school/travel.

Are you buying a monitor: I need to buy a monitor. I would totally appreciate any recommendations to go with suggestions.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 7 preferred

Preferred Website(s): Whatever is cheapest or most reliable.

Location: Washington

Parts Preferences: I like Intel stuff, but am not super knowledgeable.

Overclocking: I suppose... I'd prefer to not risk it.

SLI or Crossfire: Not even sure what this is, but if it allows for performance, sure. I'm no tech wizard though.

Your Monitor Resolution: I'd like 1080p, and whatever is good for mid-high end gaming.

Additional Comments: I'd like this to play games such as: Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim on max, Crysis 2 on max (or close), possibly the upcoming Watchdogs and AC4 on nice settings.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I have been a laptop gamer and I am SO sick of terrible graphics (onboard graphics aren't cutting it at ALL), so I am planning to splurge. Also I am willing to possibly push the budget to like 1900 if it will reach another tier of gaming (Including monitor and os). I would also like to have a SSD somewhere in there.

I appreciate any advice that can be given, any tips, tricks and whatnot! Thanks so much in advance!
