Graphic Card making PC turn off automatically

Hey there,

I recently bought a Sapphire HD6670 for my pretty old PC which has the following specs http://i43.tinypic.com/2aklmqc.jpg but I'm not sure why it could be turning it off randomly :s

On older pc like hp and dell they had 250w power supply's. With your new gpu it pulling more power then the power supply can output. Look at the model of the unit it max output and the wattage on the 12v line. If it under 400w unit replace it with a good 500w unit to be safe.

Definitely, Yes that's the problem..I mean a pentium 4 has got some limits dude..its crossing the PSU consumtion mark maybe.


Makes sense. I found out my PSU is 280w which is obviously below average, so you guy's think that's the only problem that may be causing it to shut down?
