Hey, i need help on this one.

I bought a new gpu today and i installed it with a friend but when i boot i get no signal on my screen, either my pc screen or my tv screen.

The gpu is plugged to its 6 pin connecter on a 460w advanced pro series PSU that seems to work fine (i bought it today to for the 6 pin connector that i didn't have on my old one) because all fans are running, on the new gpu, the psu and the cpu. I uninstalled my old drivers too but I still don't get any signal !

It still works fine with my old gpu.

Thank you in advance !

Whats the make and model of the GPU? That power supply has weak 12v rails and can only deliver 340w and is of questionable quality(a good manufacture would not have sold it as a 460w unit), depending on what video card you have it very well may not be enough to power it.

If it was a good quality unit it should be enough, but there are no professional reviews, the brand name is all but unknown, and its sold as a 460w PSU but maxes at 340w on the 12v rails(low quality usually cant reach thier advertised power). these are usually signs of a poor quality power suppy. This for example http://www.scan.co.uk/products/450w-xfx-pro-core-edition-p1-450s-x2b9-85-eff-80-plus-bronze-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-fan-atx-v231-psu is a well reviewed, good quality power supply and can deliver 408w on its single 12v rail.

I tried the GPU on a friend's rig with a CX600 and it worked fine. I installed it in my PC with his PSU and it didn't boot, i assume that the problem comes from my mobo, i'll wait for a new pc !
Thanks for the replies !

@bignastyid : I live in morrocco, i can't take it back for a refund here :(
