Hello, I'm posting on here in the hopes that someone can help me before I end up spending more money in hopes of fixing my problem.

About two months ago my graphics drivers started acting up, I did nothing different, nothing was installed or changed at that time, it just happened one day when I booted up. At first I was just getting chain blue screen errors, and from the error code it was apparently because the PCI slots were not supplying my Gtx 580 with enough voltage to run it correctly.

So after some fiddling about with my computer, including taking the whole thing apart and reassembling it, the error refused to go away unless I uninstalled my gfx driver. This was on my old Rampage 2 Extreme mobo. Also keep in mind that my older settup was running fine for two years, then a couple of months ago I ran into this problem.

So I bought the Maximus V Extreme along with a new processor to run it, and now when I install my gfx driver, it boots without a blue screen, yet my resolution is locked at 640 x 480 and has horrible 8bit multicolored graphics that dont even display half the things on the screen.

It goes away as soon as I uninstall the driver.

The driver I'm using is the latest one available from Nvidia.com which is the 320.49-desktop-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql

Ill post my computer specs, just so all the information is clear.

My OS is Windows 7 64 bit
I have a single GTX 580
My mobo is the Maximus V Extreme
I'm currently using two sticks of Corsair Xms3 DDR3 6mb(3x2gb) RAM
An antec 1000w PSU
An Intel Core I7-3770K LGA1155 Processor, with the heat sink that came with it
And just a standard 465GB Hard drive and disc drive.

I've tried my older GeForce 9800 gt gfx cards, and I have the same problem, so I've been advised that, due to the process of elimination, the fault lies with the power supply itself, since everything is plugged in correctly.

Any idea's?

Thanks in advance.
