Is my second GPU slowing me down?

Hey, uhm, so I have a Nvidia GTX 660 as my primary video card, and it came with only one DVI input for a monitor. I wanted dual monitors, so I used an older card ( Radeon 4600 series) that I used on a previous computer so I can have access to another DVI input. Since then, I've been experiencing issues with my gameplay. The graphically demanding games I usually play are now lagging horribly, taking my fps down to 4 fps, or so. I've even tried lowering my settings in-game to see if it improved in any way (It didn't.) However, everything runs fine when I disconnect the Radeon card ( For some reason, disabling it in the device manager menu doesn't work :c).

So if you can, I would like an explanation, or a fix for this. And thanks a lot for the replies in advance

Yep. Bottleneck if I ever saw one.Just get an HDMI to DVI adapter and replace that dinosaur.
Note: I had the same problem with my 760 and the exact same card, so I know my stuff.
Also note: HDMI is basically DVI with sound. An adapter will work fine.

The GTX 660 supports multiple monitors(will support up to 4) and most have 2 dvi ports(1 dvi-d and 1 dvi-i). You are most likely having a driver conflict usually AMD and Nvidia cards don't play well together. I suggestrunning both off the 660, if you dont have 2 dvi ports you can use an HDMi to DVI adapter or a displayport to dvi adapter.
