My build:
MSI-7599 (870A - G54)
8gb Kingston HyperX Blu RAM @ 667mhz
AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition @ 3.2ghz
XFX 7850 Core Edition 2GB GDDR5 RAM
So here's the problem. My system for the last year and a half has had 0 problems running games like BF3 and Arma II/III at no less than 40 FPS at maximum settings and load. However 3 days ago I noticed EVE online lagged. Of all the games in the world, my framerate in EVE online was under 15FPS. Not normal right? I gave it a day and restarted my computer only to have the same problem in every game I played. KSP, EVE online, LOTRO, BF3. I updated my drivers to see if that was the problem, no dice. I then proceeded to swap cards with my brothers computer to see if that was the problem. We both have 7850's but his is HIS while mine is XFX. His card worked fine on my computer so we figured my card was dead. But we then dried my card on his computer and it ran all the games we play normally and 60+fps. What could be the problem? I ran a benchmark on my hard drive/ram/cpu and that wasn't the problem. It can't just be the card alone if it's working on his computer as well, yet I still have the problem of low fps when I swap back to my pc. Any thoughts?
