Hey all,
Just recently had a rebuild done on my computer, and I was playing BF3 just now, I started to get purple artifacts and blinking across my screen, i didn't think my GPU's were overheating as they were both in the 50's Celsius. SLI 680s so I didn't think that was the issue. I then downloaded SpeedFan to see if my CPU was possibly overheating, a brand new intel i7 4770K currently running with a minor overclock to 4.0 GHz but comes stock at 3.5 GHz. I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU on it, anyways, SpeedFan has my CPU listed at 128 C?!
I restart my computer and my BIOS has my CPU listed at 50 C. Could Speedfan be incorrect?
I recently had a local PC shop do a rebuild of my machine.
Anyways, system Specs.
Intel i7 4770K @ 4.0 GHz
SLI 680
16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
MSI Z87-GD65
Please let me know!
EDIT:
Ok, so I just downloaded RealTemp to compare with SpeedFan and it tells a very different story.
All 4 of my cores through RealTemp read out 35-40 degrees Celsius right now, Speedfan is still 128C for my CPU...
What's up with that?
