The actual total is closer to $950 without mail-in rebates. My goal was to stay under $1000. My next step is to look for a nice monitor (that isn't much of a worry).

I would love to hear your opinions/recommendations!

Also, I heard that the motherboard Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 has overheating issues. I haven't heard anything about the UD5 having overheating issues at all. What do you guys think?

Games I would mostly play are: Minecraft, GTA IV, and maybe some first person shooters. What do you think of my choice in a video card?

If you can find a way to add a small SSD it will benefit this set-up greatly. You know something for your OS, much faster boot up and program start-up. Otherwise very well put together.

Thank you for your reply! Yes I have really considered doing that. However, my budget is running really tight at the moment but I definitely will add one and put Windows on that as soon as money comes back in comfortably. Thank you sir! I have really spent a lot of time doing research for every piece of my puzzle. Getting on average 5 hours of sleep a night; even on work days :p

I feel like I won't need to overclock just yet though. I might just keep the 8350. I have added the 760 to my parts list and still under budget:) Thank you for your help!
