I am in the process of building a decent gaming computer and a buddy of mine has had the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard and he says that he has a lot of overheating issues. Is this a known flaw in all UD3 motherboards?

Extra: I googled "gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 overheating" and sure enough, people have had this issue. However, I was recommended to use the UD5 motherboard instead. I even googled "gigabyte 990fxa-ud5 overheating" and 0 results.

Solution
Haven't hear of much on that, but might look at the M5A99FX PRO R2.0 or even down a step to the M5a99FX EVO, both OC well and handle voltages well

Thank you for your reply! I will have a deeper look into those two motherboards. I got to be honest, the main reason why I want the Gigabyte 990FXA (UD3/UD5) motherboard is because of their On/Off Charge Technology. I thought that it would be handy, but I am trying to scout around to find a reliably board.

My buddy is recommending me against the Gigabyte UD3 as he is having troubles with his. So I will look into what you suggested. Thank you so much!
