How Much and Which RAM?

Dear Group,

I have a new (refurb) HP Envy h8-1427 with 8GB RAM.

It seems I keep maxing it out and things stop working correctly. When I look at the Task Manager, I am typically running >60%. It uses the DDR3-1600 which is kind of expensive. Can anyone suggest a cheap fix, and how much I need?

Good question. I am running a stock trading platform, and a bunch of web browser windows.

I restarted it, and when it came up, my virus software detected three malware things. I deleted them, and it seems to be working better!
